Prof Dr. Remzi Avci graduated from Uludag University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. After the residency period of ophthalmology at the same University, he worked in Radboud University Hospital with Prof A.F Deutman for two years and completed his vitreoretinal fellowship study program. He was assigned as a professor in 2002 and he still works in the field of vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina diseases. He is the founder of Retina Eye Hospital Bursa-Turkey. Over the last two decades, he has been invited as a surgeon to the live surgery meetings and as a guest speaker to many international meetings including AAO Subspecialty Day, Frankfurt Retina Meeting, and Floretina Meeting. He is a member of many national and international societies including the Club Jules Gonin.
